As a woman was in the process of moving from her home near Granary Square, an out-of-town couple were allegedly stealing her moving boxes.

Local sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and a woman Saturday morning when they were reportedly found in possession of boxes belonging to a Valencia resident who lives on Salceda Road, near Alta Madera Drive.

“A woman arrived at her mother’s home to find the two suspects inside the home,” Lt. Brenda Cambra, of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, told The Signal Tuesday.

“The victim had been in the process of moving and had her property boxed in the house,” she said. “The witness called the Sheriff’s Station and was able to point out the suspects.”

“It was found that they had property belonging to the mother in their possession at the time of arrest,” Cambra said.

Everette Nelson, 27, of La Mirada, and Estrella Mariana Aguilar, 18, of Chatsworth, both unemployed, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, a felony.

The bail for each suspect was set at $50,000.

Both are scheduled to appear Tuesday in San Fernando Superior Court.
