Firefighters responded to a brush fire near Dockweiler Drive and Ivy Lane across the street from a neighborhood on Sunday.

Firefighters on the scene reported that due to the time of the year, the fire did not spread.

“Everything is still pretty green,” said an official at the scene. “If it was a couple of months from now, it might have been a different story.”

The call went out to officials at 4:16 p.m. and was deemed the Dockweiler Incident.

It took firefighters approximately 10 minutes to knock down the flames that spanned an eighth of an acre.
