A man was stabbed in the arm and taken to the hospital with a non-lethal injury late Friday afternoon sparking a manhunt for two suspects, a man and a woman.

The incident was first reported shortly before 5 p.m. for a man stabbed on Soledad Canyon Road near the Shell gas station at River Circle.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the call.

“It was for a stabbing,” a Fire Department spokesman told The Signal shortly before 5:20 p.m.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station searched an area along Soledad, from River Circle and the Caravilla Mobile Home Park.

The stabbing is believed to have happened in the mobile home park.

“The victim was stabbed in the left upper arm,” Lt. Chuck Becerra told The Signal, describing the injury as not life-threatening.

“These were all friends who began arguing,” he said of the victim and the suspects. “All the parties know each other.

“One of the suspects is a female” Becerra said. “She jumped into a car, so the drive is also a suspect.”

Deputies began scouring the area for a getaway vehicle described as a Honda Odyssey while investigators interviewed the mother of the female suspect.
