While state legislators take their month-long break from Sacramento, Assemblyman Dante Acosta (R-Santa Clarita) is spending time in the 38th district to meet with constituents.

Among the events and meetings he plans to attend, Acosta will be holding two community chats on Saturday, Aug. 5 in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Constituents will be able to ask questions about both legislative and community issues, according to Acosta’s office.

“I believe that when we have the ability to spend time in the district that our constituents should have lots of access to their representatives,” Acosta said to The Signal in July. “I am looking forward to the chance to spend more time back in the community.”

The first of the events will be held at It’s a Grind on 29641 The Old Road in Castaic from 9 to 11 a.m.

Following that chat, Acosta will meet with constituents from 12 to 2 p.m. at Big Mouth Pizza on 33323 Agua Dulce Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.

Acosta’s office asks that guests RSVP to (661) 286-1565.

The assemblyman also plans to meet one-on-one with constituents and attend events with seniors, students, educators, local business owners and volunteer organizations, he said to The Signal on July 19.
