The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has released their Public Safety Report for Oct. 9 through 15, listing the following crimes that took place.

10/09/17

Theft from unlocked Vehicle – 28700 block of West Hills Drive

The victim left her purse on her front passenger seat while she picked up her child from school. The suspect stole a black purse containing identification card, credit cards and $6.

10/11/17

Grand Theft Auto – Seco Canyon/Copperhill Drive

The victim saw his stolen 2016 Audi parked in parking lot near the above location. When he approached his stolen car, a male got out and ran from the victim.

10/12/17

Petty Theft – 23000 block of Soledad Canyon Road

The victim gave the suspect a ride home after attending a meeting. When the victim dropped off the suspect, he noticed that several of his pills were missing from the center console of his vehicle.

10/14/17

Petty Theft – 28600 block of High Ridge Drive

An unknown suspect stole the victim’s cell phone during a house party. The victim believes a friend might have taken his phone by mistake.

10/15/17

Grand Theft – 27600 block of Kristen Lane

An unknown suspect stole copper pipes from the back of the victim’s truck that was parked in front of his home.

The LASD also gave the following advice to business owners.

We have seen an increase in commercial burglaries over the past few months. Several businesses have been leaving cash in their cash registers after closing. To help prevent theft, please do not leave cash in the register and leave the drawer open with the cash tray up to show that there is nothing inside to take.”
