More than a dozen firefighting units from two battalions are on their way to search an area between Agua Dulce Airpark and Mt. Gleeson in the Angeles National Forest for reports of a plane crash.
“Our units are on route for a private plane crash,” Vanessa Lozano, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The county fire department’s Copter 19 and sheriff’s department’s Air Rescue 5 was also dispatched.
At 12:34 p.m., search aircraft and assisting units were canceled after a grid search of the area was completed, yielding no results.
