One man was taken into custody at gunpoint late Thursday afternoon, suspected of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station swung into action at about 5 p.m. to arrest a motorist on Highway 14, near the Golden Valley Road exit.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol turned the case over the SCV Sheriff’s Station deputies, who wasted no time in responding.
Deputies with the Aero Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spotted the stolen vehicle and requested SCV Sheriff Station deputies follow up.
Deputies in more than a half-dozen patrol vehicles lined up behind the suspect vehicle as the motorist was taken into custody.
“We have one man in custody,” Lt. Jim Royal said.
