“As a leader for an industry that makes up one of the city’s largest economic drivers, Don Fleming of Valencia Acura has been a longtime supporter of Santa Clarita Valley businesses, using his influence to try and make his community a better place to work and live.”
— Richard Budman, Signal Publisher/Owner
Don Fleming, who started Valencia Acura with his wife, Cheri Fleming, presides over the SCV Auto Dealers Association, which is one of the area’s largest revenue drivers. As a watchdog for one of the area’s most important retail sectors.
The Flemings, who run their “friendship” dealership, got into the car business in 1984, and since coming to the Santa Clarita Valley, they’ve become very involved in the Santa Clarita Valley nonprofit organization scene.
Don is involved in the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation, the SCV Child & Family Center, the SCV Chamber of Commerce and the SCV Boys & Girls Club, just to name a few of the many organizations he supports.
Like several other influential citizens, the Flemings were recognized for their generosity with each earning the Man and Woman of the Year Award, respectively. They’ve both also earned the Silver Spur, which is given by COC for extraordinary service.
