“It would be hard to find someone who’s worked harder than Bob Kellar on behalf of city of Santa Clarita for things like veterans support, public safety and small businesses, among other issues, over the last 20 years.”

— Richard Budman, Signal Publisher/Owner

One has to look no further than Santa Clarita City Councilman Bob Kellar’s five successful elections to the dais to recognize his longterm impact in this community.

Kellar, a former Green Beret, served as a Los Angeles Police Department officer for 25 years, which instilled in him an understanding of both groups that he carried to his municipal work in the SCV.

A Sand Canyon resident, former Planning Commission member and president of the then-Canyon Country Chamber of Commerce, Kellar also has more than a quarter-century of experience in the local business community. This includes his leadership of an agency, Kellar-Davis, which has approximately three dozen Realtors.

A supporter of a number of local nonprofit organizations, Kellar’s community service also extends to involvement in the Santa Clarita Valley Veterans Memorial Committee and the Salvation Army, among numerous other organizations he and his wife, Kathy, support.
