While much of the rain had dissipated by Friday morning, wet roads continued to provide delays to holiday commuters.

Around 9:15 a.m., a two-vehicle traffic collision was reported near the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and Goldcrest Drive, backing up traffic for about a mile as first responders worked to clear the scene, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department supervisor Bernard Peters.

One person was transported as a result of this incident, Peters said.

In the afternoon, firefighters were called to another crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, north of Valencia Boulevard, around 3:45 p.m., according to Peters.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a three-vehicle crash with one overturned, and at least one person was transported as a result of the incident.
