A structure fire was reported at a home in Canyon Country on Wednesday afternoon and the Los Angeles County Fire Department extinguished it less than a half-hour after arriving at the scene.
First responders received reports of a structure fire on the 26000 block of Rainbow Glen Drive at 1:28 p.m., said L.A. County Fire Department spokesman Howard Tieu.
The first unit arrived at the scene of the incident in eight minutes and firefighters were met with a working fire.
Information on how the fire started or what area of the structure it originated from was not available, according to Tieu and Deputy Nicholas Hoslet with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The blaze was successfully knocked down at 2 p.m., according to Tieu, and firefighters worked at performing mop-up procedures until 3:25 p.m.
No injuries or transports were reported, Tieu said, and information on the extent of the damage the fire caused to the structure was not available.
