An attic fire was reported on the 27100 block of Buckskin Lane on Wednesday, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department official.
Firefighters were dispatched to the area following reports of a house fire at 5:30 p.m., said Capt. David Dantic, a spokesman for the agency.
The first unit arrived at the scene and located an active attic fire, he added, and no occupants were inside the home at the time of their arrival.
Dantic also reported that firefighters held the fire with a first-alarm response plus two additional engines, with knockdown being declared at 6:40 p.m. Firefighters were still on the scene investigating and clearing hotspots as of 7 p.m. No injuries or medical transports were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
