Firefighters responded to reports Thursday morning of a mobile home on fire in Castaic, only to find tires on fire instead.
The incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday when the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call from a Castaic resident of a structure fire on the 30,000 block of Hasley Canyon Road at Sloan Canyon Road, Fire Department Inspector Richard Licon told The Signal Thursday.
“There was black smoke reported from a reporting party,” he said. “Responding firefighters reported seeing smoke from a one story mobile home.
“They found it was actually tires on fire outside, right next to the mobile home,” Lacon said.
