A high-tech sports car is flying out of the Valencia Acura Dealership.
The 2017 Acura NSX is called by Acura specialists “the only sports car of its kind” because of its unique design features, engine power, performance and speed.
The $200,000 car was preordered by a Santa Clarita resident several years ago. He was one of 14 individuals who put their name on a waiting list for the new car that began five years ago.
Russ Stevenson, Valencia Acura service manager and NSX specialist, said the NSX was 10 years in the making.
“This car is everything in one package,” Stevenson said. “Everything in the car is functioning.”
The car can go from 0 mph to 60 mph in less than three seconds. The design and structure of the car was created to assist with aerodynamics, cooling and downforce, according to Stevenson.
Special features of the NSX include twin turbo engine, hybrid electric motors, all-wheel drive, torque vectoring, carbon ceramic breaks, airflow channels and divots for cooling and an intelligent power unit.
Stevenson said one of the best things about the car is its ease of driving.
“The average person could be competitive (comparable) to a professional driver in this car,” he said.
