The Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation (SCVEDC) received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for its 2016 Still Golden Campaign project in the category of Special Purpose Print Brochure from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
The honor was presented at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 27, during the IEDC Annual Conference, which was held Sept. 25-28, in Cleveland.
“We are very proud to be honored amongst our peers of economic development organizations nationwide,” said Holly Schroeder, president and CEO of the SCV Economic Development Corporation. “Our Still Golden campaign continues to highlight the Santa Clarita Valley as a place of entrepreneurial opportunity for companies large and small.”

Not only did they work to provide a necessary service to their community; but also, their participation in the awards program sheds light on their stellar projects which other communities can now use a benchmark,” said Barry Matherly, IEDC 2016 board chair, president and CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership.
SCVEDC’s Still Golden marketing campaign invested in the creation of new brochures, themes and videos capturing the Santa Clarita Valley lifestyle. These media were deployed through print, billboard and digital advertising, and social media.
The campaign is adaptable to specific announcements, such as the announcement of Logix Federal Credit Union relocating its headquarters to the Santa Clarita Valley. This multimedia campaign strengthens the identity of the SCV as the place where companies can prosper in a diverse and resilient economy.
IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize the world’s best economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials, and the year’s most influential leaders. These awards honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
