Princess Cruises has appointed Negin Kamali director of public relations. Prior to joining Princess, Negin was an executive director in the Los Angeles office of the Golin public relations agency. She spent 15 years at the agency working with clients in the travel, food and wine, entertainment and consumer packaged goods industries.

Santa Clarita-based Princess was among Negin’s clients at Golin, where she managed the Princess Cruises and Cunard Line accounts, spending seven years leading the Cunard Line account team. She worked on the launch of Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Elizabeth, helped launch Cunard’s social media channels, and worked on the 2011 Rose Parade Float, onboard enrichment programming, in-port functions and familiarization trips.

“With her integrated consumer marketing communications experience, Negin adds tremendous value to the public relations department at Princess Cruises,” said Brian O’Connor, vice president of public relations. “She is a welcomed leader to the department whose passion for public relations brings new ideas and approaches to continue to drive brand awareness and purchase intent for our cruises.”

Negin earned a master’s degree in corporate public relations from Boston University and received her bachelor of arts in communication from the University of California, San Diego, with a minor in law and society. She served on the board of the Los Angeles chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-LA) from 2011- 2013.
