A big rig became engulfed in flames on northbound Highway 14 near Newhall Avenue Saturday night, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed.
Officials received the call at 8:02 p.m. and arrived on scene seven minutes later.
Two fire engines and a water tender extinguished the fire and officials estimated that the flames were knocked down in about 15 to 20 minutes.
“They spent about another 30 minutes to overhaul to make sure (the fire) didn’t start up again,” said Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
No injuries were reported.
