A big rig went completely off of Interstate 5 and overturned in an embankment early Sunday morning just south of Valencia Blvd, according to officials.
The one-vehicle collision was reported at 12:58 a.m.
“It was determined to be a traffic collision involving a tractor-semi trailer combination that went off the right shoulder and into a concrete culvert,” said Officer Peter Nicholson with the Los Angeles Traffic Management Center.
No one was injured in the collision.
A SigAlert was issued closing the 3 and 4 lanes of the Southbound Interstate 5 from 4:51 a.m. to 9:42 a.m. in order to tow the big rig. Both Valencia Boulevard ramps were also closed.
“It takes a long time to hook up something that large,” said Nicholson.
