A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital after a head-on collision with another vehicle on Placerita Canyon Road and Running Horse Road on Saturday, officials said.

“We got a call from sheriffs that a motorcycle and a car got into an accident,” said Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The call for the incident went out to officials at 2:06 p.m.

“We took one patient to Henry Mayo,” Peters said.

A fire captain on scene of the collision described the motorcyclist’s injuries as serious.
