Your articles regarding SCV Community Pride were not only interesting, but thorough – except for the sections about education.

While members of this community, especially parents, are continually informing themselves about the many choices available to them with education for their children, they were not presented with a complete view of elementary education in this valley.
Private and charter schools are certainly a choice. However, you neglected to mention the amazing public elementary school districts available.

I am a teacher of more than 25 years in the Newhall School District, which prides itself with not only competitive state test scores, but a well-rounded education that includes art, music, technology and physical education programs that rival most private and charter schools.

We provide a rigorous education that prepares students for the demands of junior high and high school. Please consider all aspects of education when presenting information to your readers.
