Body discovered in Castaic Friday night

Sheriff’s officials discovered a body in Castaic Friday night near the intersection of Ridge Route Road and Templin Highway.

Sheriff’s deputies were responding to reports of a downed biker when they discovered the body.

“It appears to have been a suicide,” said Sgt. David Shoemaker with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The body was discovered around 9:31 p.m.
