At least two people were hurt and taken to the hospital following a 4-vehicle pileup on Highway 14 near Agua Dulce Monday morning.

“Two people went to the hospital by ambulance,” a fire official at Fire Station #73 told The Signal Monday.

Commuter traffic became snarled following a traffic collision in the southbound lanes of Highway 14 at Agua Dulce Canyon Road, shortly before 7 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The collision involved three cars and one pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

“This came in as an auto collision on the southbound 14,” the Fire Department spokesman told The Signal Monday morning.

“Four vehicles were involved,” he said. “We had reports of persons trapped but they (firefighters) found no one trapped.”

The crash stopped traffic in the fast lane and the lane next to it for about 30 minutes.

Paramedics arrived at the crash at 7:14 a.m., the Fire Department spokesman said.

“An ambulance was requested,” he said.
