Aero Engineering recognized by Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has recognized Aero Engineering & Manufacturing Co. of Valencia as among the top performers among its 1,400 suppliers.

The award recognizes suppliers holding a 98 percent on-time delivery rating with a 98 percent quality rating.

Founded in 1948, Aero Engineering is a parts provider for C-130 Hercules cargo plane, P-3 Orion turboprop anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft, and F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet under the Lockheed Martin Hologram Products quality-assurance program.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has production and operations facilities in Palmdale and six other locations across the country.

Palmdale is home to the company’s Advanced Development Programs, informally known as the “Skunk Works.” The company’s largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter. It also builds the F-22 fighter in a partnership with Boeing.
