sheriff, crime, deputy, police, law enforcement, LASD, law, police car,
Here is the Castaic/ Val Verde Crime Information and Public Safety Report for the week of June 26, 2017 through July 2, 2017: 07/01/17 Commercial Burglary- 27000 block of Live Oak Road The glass front door was shattered and the business safe had pry marks on the door. Nothing was reported missing. The crime occurred in the early morning hours. Remember, in any community, the citizens are the first set of eyes and ears for first responders. It is the community who knows what “does” and “doesn’t” look right. It is you, the local citizens, who can tell who “does” and “doesn’t” belong in the area. If you see any suspicious activity, something that doesn’t look “right,” please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency. Please be aware that many of the thefts we have seen in the past have been “crimes of opportunity.” Never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk of becoming a victim. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Zone 2 (Castaic or Val Verde), please feel free to email or call me directly.
