The second session of the Castaic Lake junior lifeguard program came to an end on Thursday night with its “Macho Man” run and swim.

The “Macho Man” starts in Paradise Cove, with junior lifeguards running from the west side of the cove to the east, swimming across the lagoon, and finishing with a sprint down the beach. Junior lifeguards are practiced veterans of the event, but on Thursday night, parents and family members got a chance to join in the fun.
