A car smashed through the front yard and into a bedroom of a house near Wiley Canyon Road and Wabushka Street in Newhall just after 4:43 p.m. on Saturday.

“It went through the fence and into the bedroom,” said Supervisor Art Marrujo of the LA County Fire Department.

Nobody inside the house was injured, Marrujo said.

Local paramedics responded to the scene, Marrujo confirmed. Heavy rescue units were initially dispatched, but were deemed unnecessary and called-off before arriving to the scene of the accident.

“The paramedic squad handled the incident,” he said.

Reports that the driver of the vehicle needed to be extricated have not been confirmed.
