UPDATE: 2017 Gingerbread House Contest and Antique Appraisal Day

The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library will hold their 2017 Gingerbread House Contest at the Valencia Library, 23743 Valencia Blvd, in Valencia on Friday, December 8.

Houses should be dropped off at the Valencia Library from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Free Viewing will be Saturday, December 9, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 10.

Contest ribbons will be given out before opening on December 9. Contest is open to all ages including professionals.

A ‘How to Build a Gingerbread House Demonstration’ will be held on Saturday, December 2 at 2 p.m. at the Valencia Library. Come and learn the basic techniques used to build your house.

The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library will also hold the 2018 Antique Appraisal Day on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Old Town Newhall Library Community Room, located at 24500 Main St, Santa Clarita.

Six appraisers are slated to attend this year. Please no fine jewelry or furniture. Cost is Three (3) items for $28.00 and one (1) item $10.00.
