Princess Cruises has added a pair of Fathom Travel sailings to hurricane-impacted Caribbean destinations, Travel Agent Central reported this week.

While the first outing, a Jan. 20 departure of Crown Princess, is sold out, The Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess will sail on March 18 and May 26, respectively.

The small-group Fathom sailings will allow cruise guests to participate in local activities to offer assistance to areas affected by hurricanes Irma and Maria. The inaugural Crown Princess trip will include a donation drop of more than 2,000 items for young families in St. Thomas and repair efforts at a school and homes in the Dominican Republican, according to Travel Agent Central.

Travelers who can’t go on a Fathom sailing but who want to aid rebuilding efforts can make a donation online at https://www.youcaring.com/puertoplata-991506, according to Travel Agent Central.

Headquartered in Santa Clarita, Princess Cruises is one of the area’s largest private employers, along with Six Flags Magic Mountain and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
