Sheriff’s Department deputies Wednesday afternoon arrested a parolee who was wanted out of Orange County for a no-bail warrant.

Deputies received word that a wanted suspect, Jonathan Flinn, 37, of Lake Elsinore, might have been in the area near the intersection of Sycamore Creek Drive and Copper Hill Drive.

Deputies began to set up a perimeter around the Saugus neighborhood shortly after 4 p.m. The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Career Offenders — Burglaries, Robberies, Assault unit, or COBRA, were assisted by the department’s Community Oriented Policing Services Bureau and its parole-compliance team, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Station.

Flinn taken into custody around 5:15 p.m. and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station about a half-hour later, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records.

“It was a guy from Orange County; he was on parole,” Miller said, regarding the incident. “From what I understand, he had an extensive criminal history.”

Sheriff’s Station officials did not have specifics to release on what Flinn was wanted for by Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials.

The Sheriff’s Department booking logs listed Flinn’s occupation as a construction worker. His arrest-charge description was listed as “warrant-petition to revoke community supervision.”
