Deputies detain suspect driving stolen vehicle

A felony traffic stop concerning a possible stolen vehicle resulted in a short pursuit of the suspect on Saturday. 

Deputies on patrol near Rye Canyon Road and The Old Road were able to confirm it was a stolen vehicle by running the license plate at approximately 12:24 p.m. and one person was detained soon after, said Sgt. Aaron Jacob of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
