Single-car crash sends one to hospital

A single-car crash caused one person to be transported to the hospital near the intersection of McBean Parkway and Creekside Road at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Command and Control center.  

The vehicle, a white four-door sedan, reportedly veered off the road and onto the sidewalk, colliding with roadside working equipment and a cage that covers water gauges before coming to a stop about 70 feet from first contact, according to a witness on the scene.  

The collision apparently caused a water leak where the car came to a stop. The extent of the person’s injuries is unknown at the time of this publication.
