Every first and second Saturday morning of the month, local bird enthusiasts join docent naturalists on a two-hour trek through the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, led by Rosemarie Regis and Ken Yasukawa from 8 to 10 a.m. The sounds of Acorn Woodpeckers, morning doves and the occasional local boy scouts fill the air as visitors admire the park.
