Jimmy Kimmel has been reinstated to his late- night comedy TV show after being suspended for free speech by saying “many in MAGA land are work- ing very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk,” and that “the MAGA gang” was “desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”

Jimmy Kimmel was unfairly suspended, and Jim- my Kimmel stood up to Donald Trump in fighting for free speech.

Trump and his allies are trying to bully critics into silence and Kimmel showed the country that cour- age and integrity will prevail.

Kimmel’s return to late-night comedy netted him the biggest ratings in a decade.

Also Matthew Dowd from MSNBC was fired for his comments about the Charlie Kirk assassination, which was no more derogatory than many other comments made on the same subject.

Jimmy Kimmel has hosted “ Jimmy Kimmel Live” on TV since 2003.

Jimmy Kimmel has also hosted the Oscars four times. In that time Jimmy Kimmel has panned and joked about different presidents and there were no repercussions from any of those presidents.

Free speech should work both ways, but this pres- ent administration doesn’t seem to think so.

This administration is hellbent on silencing dif- ferent media outlets, such as NPR and PBS. by strip- ping them of their federal funds, and this admin- istration is hellbent on silencing others who don’t agree with their damaging agenda.

Hundreds of Hollywood and Broadway celebrities have urged Americans to fight to prevent and pre- serve our constitutional right of free speech.

Also more than 430 movie, TV, stage stars, co- medians, directors and writers chimed in with the American Civil Liberties Union in saying it is a dark moment for freedom of speech in our nation.

In closing: Free speech for me but not for thee.
