One person has been confirmed dead after a major four-vehicle crash on Soledad Canyon Road and Golden Oak Road on Monday, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The initial call to the SCV Sheriff’s Station was at 12:49 p.m. regarding the multiple-vehicle crash with a possible fatality, said Sgt. Anthony Levin with the station.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 12:52 p.m., arriving to the major collision at 1:03 p.m., according to Fred Fielding, public information officer for the Fire Department.
Fielding confirmed there were two people transported to the local hospital.
The first person was transported at 1:19 p.m., and the second person was transported at 1:26 p.m., according to Fielding.
The incident also had major impacts on traffic in the SCV on Monday, with deputies confirming Soledad Canyon Road, from Golden Oak to Commuter Way, was closed, with traffic being turned around during the investigation.
Levin indicated that train traffic was interrupted but had resumed within two hours of the crash.
There was no information about the cause of the crash or whether any criminal investigation is suspected to be involved, as of this story’s publication.
