News release
Canyon Coyotes 4-H club members have the opportunity to do many things during the year, one of which is to show at the Antelope Valley Fair. This year’s theme was a “Pigture Perfect” fair.
This year, the club showed nine llamas at the fair. The youngest competitor was Benjamin Foster, and he was awarded first place at just 6 years old in his division.
Canyon Coyotes member Amelie Minefar won Reserve Grand Champion in Showmanship Halter for llamas.
Canyon Coyotes members also participated in the butter-making booth.
“Our club did a nice job helping run the butter making,” Luc Hauptman, one of the volunteers at the butter-making booth, said in a news release from the Canyon Coyotes. The Canyon Coyotes also helped with games at the Agua Dulce Fair. This year, there were at least 12 members running different games.
Dagon Sparks said that “it was awesome” running the barrel toss game.
The Canyon Coyotes also made a float and rode during the parade. The float featured wood animal cutouts that moved like bobbleheads.
“The Canyon Coyotes are so thankful to our community for allowing us to help in so many ways throughout the 4-H year,” the release said.
