Four SCV girls’ volleyball players honored with all-CIF selections

The California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section released its all-CIF honors across all divisions, and four girls’ volleyball players from the Santa Clarita Valley were highlighted.  

The West Ranch Wildcats had three selections in the Division 2 category following the team’s run in the playoffs. West Ranch finished as a Division 2 CIF finalist after falling to Santa Margarita in five sets and secured an opening round state playoff win over the Redlands Terriers.  

As for Saugus, the Centurions had the lone selection in senior opposite hitter Taylor Stires, who received first team all-Foothill league honors after her team finished as a quarterfinalist in the Division 3 bracket.  

The following players were recognized in their respective divisions:  

Division 2:  

  • Dani Clewis, senior, West Ranch (S).  
  • Devyn Kobe, sophomore, West Ranch (OH).  
  • Grace Kelley, senior, West Ranch (M).  

Division 3:  

  • Taylor Stires, senior, Saugus (OH).
