2 local students named to Shenandoah University dean’s and president’s list
Shenandoah University had 1,195 students earn a spot on the dean’s list for the fall 2025 semester and 525 students were named to the president’s list.
Eden Rubsamen, of Canyon Country, and Carter Sand, of Stevenson Ranch, were named to both lists.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be enrolled full-time in baccalaureate degree programs and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher. Dean’s list students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.90 or higher also qualify for the university’s president’s list.
Shenandoah University was established in 1875, and is headquartered at the top of Virginia, in Winchester, Virginia, with additional educational sites in Clarke and Loudoun counties, and online offerings. Shenandoah is a private university with over 4,400 students in more than 200 areas of study in six different schools.
Local student named to Goshen College dean’s list
Goshen College recently recognized 180 undergraduate students for excellence in academics on the 2025-26 fall semester dean’s list.
Brandon Wright Barron, a junior engineering physics major from Santa Clarita, was recognized for academic excellence on the fall semester dean’s list at Goshen College, in Indiana.
The dean’s list includes traditional undergraduate students earning at least a 3.75 GPA, while completing at least 12 hours of coursework for a letter grade. Only grades from the designated semester are included in the dean’s list selection process.
Local student named to UW-Madison dean’s list
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, including Jackson Povletich, of Stevenson Ranch, a student in the university’s College of Engineering.
Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.
