A now-confirmed road rage incident drew a heavy presence to the Copper Hill Drive and West Creek Drive area on Tuesday afternoon after initial reports said it was a suspected assault with a deadly weapon call, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The call was coming from the Antelope Valley area before it was transferred to SCV Sheriff’s Station personnel who were notified of the incident around 2:37 p.m. involving the suspect’s black pickup truck that was accused of shooting at another person’s vehicle, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
Deputies contacted the suspect and determined it was a road rage incident, Miller said during a follow-up call.
There was no evidence of a crime, she added.
