A gas leak was reported on the 19300 block of Laroda Lane around 12:50 p.m. on Monday, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The call of the leak first went out at 12:50 p.m., with firefighters arriving on the scene at 1:01 p.m., according to Howard Tieu, spokesman with the Fire Department.
Tieu said the call was a possible gas leak, but after personnel arrived, it became an active leak.
SoCal Gas responded as well, Tieu said. He could not confirm the cause of the leak.
SoCal Gas was not available for comment at the time of this publication.
