Even on a 100 degree day, Pho Sure hits the spot.

“Customers say, ‘I’m craving pho,’” said Nina Tran, owner of Pho Sure.

Tran and her husband, Scott, opened the restaurant in Valencia five years ago to “introduce the Santa Clarita community to many wonderful dishes.”

And on the eve of their fifth-annual pho-eating content, it’s clear to see they’ve done more than just introduce Vietnamese cuisine to the SCV: they’ve gotten their customers addicted.

Pho is a noodle soup consisting of broth, linguine-shaped rice noodles, a few herbs and meat.

Tran says some customers come for lunch…and then pick up dinner on their way home from the office.

“Every dish, we put our heart in there,” Tran said. “I want customers to enjoy it.”

So far, their location on Copperhill Drive is their only one. But Tran said they’re looking to possibly open a second one in the future, if they can find just the right location.

If you’re new to pho, don’t worry – Train said she and her staff are always on hand to answer questions about which dish is right for you.

And if you do decide it is too hot for pho, Pho

Sure has plenty more to choose from, like shrimp rolls, or their popular Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong Tam Nuong: a giant bowl filled with Vietnamese vermicelli with eggrolls, grilled shrimp, and your choice of pork or beef.

Make sure to come hungry! The portions are big enough to share, and maybe still even take home some leftovers. And you’ll definitely want to leave room for an avocado boba shake. Just be sure to arrive early in the winter; pho is a popular cool-weather dish, and the wait for a seat can take a bit.

“Mostly we’re packed all the time, morning until night,” Tran said.

It’s a good idea to take a look at their menu online before you go, or in line while you wait; it might take a while to decide on what to order, but the pho itself comes out fast and steaming hot. There are two pages of different kinds of pho! Vegetarian options are available too.

Pho Sure is located at 23876 Copper Hill Drive, Valencia.
