The Canyon Theatre Guild Transports a Valencia Family into the World of Scrooge

A modern Valencia family travels back in time with their Grandfather this holiday season in the Canyon Theatre Guilds captivating adaptation of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.  The wise, older gentleman feels the need to tell his demanding and difficult grandchildren a tale about a crotchety old miser from 19th century London who is visited by three spirits, in hopes that the message will turn his beloved grandchildren in the right direction before it’s too late.  As they journey back in time with him, he and transforms into… well you’ll just have to come see the play. Filled with all the spirited characters from the original story and the joy of discovery, the production sparkles with good cheer and delightful humor.

Mr. Barry Agin, the show’s fabulous director asserts that with this adaptation of the classic story, “No matter how many times they see it, this show is sure the leave the audience with a refreshingly renewed holiday spirit!” A Christmas Carol opened Friday, November 25.

Performances run throughout the holiday season Fridays at 8 p.m. on 11/25, 12/9, 12/6;  Saturdays at 2 p.m. on 12/10, 12/17;  Saturdays at 8 p.m. on11/26, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17;  Sundays at 2 p.m. on11/27, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18;  Sundays at 6 p.m., 12/1 and weekdays at 7 p.m. on 12/20, 12/21 and 12/22.

Also at the CTG, join us for our annual Holiday Holipalooza on Friday, December 2 at 5:30 p.m. This magical fundraising event supports the CTG Youth Theatre Institute, which offers production workshops for kids throughout the year. This year’s show, December’s Last Wish, is an original tale that follows the world’s last remaining Snow Spirit as she takes two sisters on a magical journey through the Winter Wonderland. Featuring a cast of over forty youth performers’ classic holiday songs and fun dances, don’t miss this opportunity to support live, local theatre. The event includes a silent auction, a petite dinner, dessert and lots of laughs and magic that’s sure to get you into the holiday spirit.
