Foothill boys soccer roundup: Vikes, Cents stay unbeaten

There will now be a battle of unbeaten Foothill League boys soccer teams later this week.

Valencia High took down Canyon, 3-1, Tuesday at Canyon to improve to 3-0-0 in league play, meaning the Vikings’ game at Saugus on Friday will be for first place.

Sean Kim, Ian Young and Josh Ferguson scored for Valencia (10-2-3 overall).
Canyon is 0-10-5 overall, 0-2-1 in league.

Hart 3, West Ranch 1
Hart’s Jaden Nguyen scored twice and Enrique Perez scored one goal at West Ranch (2-4-1, 0-3-0).

The Indians (12-4-2, 2-1-0) have won back-to-back Foothill League games after a 4-1 loss to Saugus in their opener on Jan. 10.

West Ranch is 0-3-0 in league.

Saugus 5, Golden Valley 0

James Johnson scored twice and had two assists for the Centurions (9-4-3, 3-0-0) at home on Tuesday. Jason Hindigian, Jaydon Willsey, Christian Arguello also scored.

Johnson has 18 goals. Saugus’ single-season record is 30. Golden Valley is 0-1-2 in league.
