The Santa Clarita Valley got a taste of the British spirit on Sunday during the London’s Calling for a Cause Runway Show at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.
Hundreds of people turned out for the event that featured live music, food, silent auctions and most importantly, a fashion show.
This was the 8th annual fashion show that was put on by Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley.
“Soroptimist means best for women so what we do is take care of women,” said Kim Korowski, the president of the local club.
Soroptimist is an international organization and the Santa Clarita club is the biggest one in L.A. County.
And members of the club, such as Elizabeth Teagle, have attended the fashion almost every year. She has no intention to stop attending next year either.
“It’s a great way to spend the afternoon… (and) support our local charities,” she said.
