October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month, and there is no better way to support intervention, prevention, and education than to come to the Purple Walk of Strength.

Walk with family and friends on Saturday, October 21, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the COC Cross Country Track, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road. Show your support and help raise funds and awareness for domestic violence.

Make sure to wear white so you can see the purple powder, or buy a $10 DVC t-shirt at the event. There will be food, swag bags, and more.

Register for $20/person through October 20, and $25/person the day of the race, or $60 for 4-person groups through October 14. Payments can be made through the donation page at www.facebook.com/events/1891531697775882/.

The registration packet is available through the website to print and fill out, and bring on the day of the race.

All proceeds benefit the programs available at the DVC; support groups, counseling, and shelter costs.
