On July 31, Rosalind Wayman, Santa Clarita Valley Senior Deputy for Supervisor Kathryn Barger, conducted the installation of the board members to a new term.

Wayman congratulated Gloria Mercado-Fortine in her successful year serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and welcomed her into a new year in the same role.

Continuing to assist the Chairperson is Mike Fisher as Vice Chairman and Dr. David Goldberg as Secretary.

Community members remaining in their roles on the Board of Directors were also recognized, including Carolina Orozco Hernandez, Maria Morales, Edward Bolden and newcomers Patricia Ochoa Ponce and Olga Lopez.

Many of those in attendance took special time out to honor the members of the board for their leadership roles in the organization.

Certificates of Recognition were presented to the 2017-2018 Officers and Board of Directors of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers by Wyatt M. Woodson, Field Representative for Assemblyman Dante Acosta of the 38th Assembly District.
