Survivors of head-on crash still in fair condition

Two men seriously hurt in a head-on crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road Wednesday were still reported in fair condition at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Friday morning.

“Both are still in fair condition,” Patrick Moody, hospital spokesman told The Signal Friday morning.

The two injured motorists – 28-year-old Carlos D. Ballardo, of Lancaster, and Brian R. Zimmerman, 37, of Green Valley – have remained in fair condition for at least 18 hours after being rushed to the hospital Wednesday night.

They were seriously injured in a head-on crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road Wednesday about 7:15 p.m.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
