Mary Kay Wilson will demonstrate watercolor painting at the August 21 meeting of the Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA). This event is free, open to the public and meets at 6:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 23630 Valencia Blvd., in Valencia.
Wilson will be demonstrating watercolor inspired by nature, focusing on details. Wilson’s paintings have been published in The Artist’s Source Book: 80 Watercolor Painting References. Awards include Best in Show from the Water Works exhibit at the Burbank Creative Art Center and First Place from the National Orange Show Art Exhibition. She is a signature member of Watercolor West. In 2002 she participated in the public art project, Community of Angels, painting a life-sized fiberglass angel. Wilson was also a member of the mural team in Judy Chicago’s Envisioning the Future. She has exhibited extensively throughout California.
