The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced a first-ever Pop-Up Business Expo to provide businesses a platform to showcase their products and services.

“We’re taking business networking to a whole new level,” said Chamber Chair Nancy Starczyk, in a prepared statement. “The Pop-Up Biz Expo is designed to be a format for local businesses to best showcase their company’s products and services in a new way which allows businesses to better network with each other.”

The event, sponsored by the city of Santa Clarita and Wells Fargo, is set 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at 24700 McBean Parkway in Valencia. The expo is designed to be a “fast, zippy and interactive opportunity for local businesses,” a news release by the Chamber read.

Admission to the POP-UP Biz Expo is free for attendees. Businesses participating will register with a $175 fee for Chamber members and a $275 fee for non-members. Each participating business’ registration will include a personalized table-top-sized pop-up banner to display on their table.

So far, 50 businesses have registered for the event and an estimate of about 200 are expected to participate, according to Ivan Volschenk, managing partner for Evolve Business Strategies, which oversees the chamber’s operations. Reservations are open until May 1.

“We’ve worked with our member businesses to create this new concept and we’re excited about launching a new event designed to promote local businesses,” he added.
