Response to Richard Myers’ letter of June 2:
I believe that Richard Myers is way off base in his praise for Colin Kaepernick’s depreciation of our nation’s flag in the June 2 Signal.
As an analogy, let’s say my brother and I have a beef and I wish for him to see things my way. What chance do I have if I tell him that I’m going to disrespect our mother until he sees things my way? I will only anger him more and make the situation even worse.
For me, that is what Colin has done, as I generally agreed with him before he “took a knee!”
