A man was attacked by a dog from a home after delivering a package on the 23700 block of Valle Del Oro in Newhall on Saturday afternoon, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The call came in at 2:45 p.m., and the caller said he was delivering a package when a dog came out and scratched and bit him, according to Deputy R. Wyatt, who declined to provide his first name.
Deputies arrived and located the dog owner, and the victim was treated by paramedics due to lacerations on his fingers.
It is unknown if the injuries were done by dog bites, or the victim ran and fell.
There were no transports, Wyatt said.
